5th Annual End-of-the-Summer BBQ

Enjoy a night out with your family and friends at Bicentennial Park large pavilion. Event will feature burgers-n-dogs, chips, refreshments and admission to Splash Pad. This event is open to children with special needs and family & friends (all ages). We will also be awarding our "Sports-A-Palooza" players with a special award to finish their 8-week season.
Please RSVP number attending by calling GBPR 694-0101 by August 17th. Cost is $2 children (12 & under). $4 adults ~ covers cost of food.
Camp C.A.R.E.
GBPR will be offering its 2nd summer day camp for children with Autism. Program will for three weeks, three days a week from 1:00-5:00pm at GB High School West. Program will include structured activities, including crafts, art, music, games, sports, and a weekly field trip. Children will be supervised in a 1:4 ratio by qualified and passionate GBPR staff. All fees included in cost and is off-set by fundraisers and donations to GBPR throughout the year.

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Time: 1:00-5:00pm
Dates: June 22,23,24,29,30 July 1,6,7,8
Cost: $110 includes Camp T-shirt and field trips
Minimum Registration: 8 kids
Maximum: 16 kids
**Must register no later than June 4th. There will be a parent meet n' greet with the camp staff prior to the start of the program.
VIP Sports-A-Palooza
Are you looking to get your child active this summer? It is NOT to late! Join GBPR staff for our 3rd summer of "All-Sports" program. We will concentrate on 4 sports during this 8 week program. Children will learn basic skills reinforced by fun drills and games. This program is for cognitive and physically impaired children who are able to function at a 1:6 ratio. Parent/guardian is required to be present and is strongly encourages to participate. Please bring a glove (t-ball ony) , water and wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes (no sandals). All equipment provided.
Week 1-2: Basketball
Week 3-4: Outdoor floor hockey (courts near pavilion)
Week 5-6: Soccer (outfield of field 6) no cleats
Week 7-8: T-ball (field 6)
Cost: $60 (includes t-shirt)

VIP - Pilo Polo Floor Hockey
Children with cognitive or physical impairments ages 5-16 years old will enjoy this instructional - based program that will promote physical fitness and fun by using a modified hockey stick. Instructors with teach basic skills, run drills and play fun games. Please dress in comfortable clothes and bring water. All equipment will be provided. Parents are required to be present and are encouraged to participate. Register by April 12

Special Needs Swim Exploration
Join GBPR for this FUN water program for children with special needs, ages 5-14. Participants will learn basic stroke skills, reinforced by fun activities in the water. Program is designed for children who are able to function on a 1:6 ratio. Parent/buddy (16+ years) is required to be in the pool with the child.
Time: 1:10-1:45 pm

VIP Rollerskating
We have teamed up with Rollhaven in Grand Blanc to offer a fun and unique skate program for children ages 8-18. This will be introductory skating lessons. Children will have an opportunity to learn to skate from 6:00-6:30 and open skate will follow from 6:30-8:30pm. Skate rental and T-shirt included in registration fee. Parent must be on site. Register at GBPR office. Cost is $38. A special family rate of $6 applies to immediate family for open skate.
